If you love dal (lentils) in various forms, here's another delicious way to include it in your daily diet. A delicious North Indian dal dumpling that you must try, it's called Dal Farra.

Necessities:
Steamer Kitchen mixer Bowl Baking pan
Ingredients:
1 cup rice flour/whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Urad Dal
1/2 cup Chana Dal
1/2 cup Matar Dal
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
4-5 Cloves Garlic
2 green peppers
1 tsp Mustard seed
5-8 curry leaves
Asafoetida
To taste Red Chili Powder
Salt to taste
Preparation:
Wash and soak chana, urad and matar dal in a bowl for 2-3 hours.
When you're done, put the dal mix in the mixer. Also add garlic and peppers. Make a fine paste.
Mix salt, red chili powder, haldi, garam masala and cumin seeds into the dalmix and let it stand for a while.
Knead a soft dough with rice flour/whole wheat flour, water and some salt. Make small puri.
Place the dal mix on one side of the puri and fold with the other side.
Prepare a steamer and steam the Farra for about 20 minutes.
When you're done, take it off the heat and set it aside.
Heat some oil in another pan, crackle mustard seeds, hang, add curry leaves, the steamed farra and fry for a few minutes.
