Explanation ingredients Prawn Curry Masala
Coriander: The leaves have a lemony taste, while the seeds have a slightly sweet, aniseed taste.
Cumin: gives a nutty and peppery taste to dishes. Can be used in, for example, curry or chili.
Red lentils: legumes.
Turmeric: spice extracted from the roots of the turmeric plant. It provides flavor and color in curry dishes.
Ginger: has an intense pungent taste. Can be used in, for example, desserts, bread or biscuits. In India it is widely used with fish.
Fennel: promotes digestion and freshens breath. Fennel tea is used for coughing.
Garlic: has distinctive flavor and can be used in many dishes.
Star anise: dried fruit with an aniseed flavour.

Storage advice
Store in a cool and dry place. After opening, transfer contents to an airtight container. The spice mix can be kept up to 2 years after production date.
Preparation Prawn Curry Masala
- Heat 150 ml of oil in a pan.
- Add 3 sliced onions, 2 sliced tomatoes and 1 tablespoon ginger/garlic paste and heat well.
- Add 50 grams of Aachi Prawn Curry Masala and the required amount of water and salt.
- Heat this over low heat for 15-20 minutes until the oil starts to separate.
- Add 750 grams of cleaned prawn and stir fry for 10-15 minutes until it starts to dry up.
- Serve it hot with, for example, roti, naan or rice.
