This organic quinoa is related to our spinach plant, which has been cultivated by the Inca Indians for more than 5,000 years. However, the leaf is not eaten, only the seeds.
Quinoa is delicious in salads or in a Mexican bean dish with (vegetarian) minced meat. It can also be used as an alternative to millet and couscous.
For 2 people, bring 1 cup quinoa to a boil with 2 cups water. Let it simmer for 5 minutes and then simmer for about 10 minutes.
