Fresh Leek can be stored for about 7 days in a cool, dry place.
You can use leeks very versatile. For example, make a leek dish, potato-leek soup with chicken, leek pie or a leek soup with fish. You can cook leeks, stir-fry, grill and make a delicious oven dish.
Cut off the bottom of the leek. Then also remove the green leaves on the top and the outer leaves. You can use both the white and green parts of the leek. The green part contains the most vitamins and minerals. Cut the leek in half lengthwise from the bottom. Then rinse both halves under running water. Drain the leek in a colander and cut into large or small pieces.
The cooking time of leeks is 10-13 minutes. If you stir-fry leeks, do this for 2 to 4 minutes.
