Store the beans in a cool, dark and dry place. After opening, transfer contents to an airtight container. It can then be kept for about 2 years.
The beans can be used to make soup, for example. Grind the beans into a flour for baking flatbreads, pancakes and poffertjes.
The beans should be soaked for about 3 hours. The cooking time is about 20 to 30 minutes.
